Paradise Outdoor Advertising has installed a $250,000 digital billboard, which will shine bright over one of Mackay CBD’s busiest intersections, on the corner of Sydney and Victoria street.

"You see signs of this quality in places like Shanghai or Las Vegas. It is great to have these in the city. It has really helped revitalise the CBD and give some excitement and colour,” said Mitch James, Chief Executive Paradise Outdoor Advertising.

The 22 metre squared billboard will not only be an avenue for business but will allow Paradise Outdoor to display the time, interactive temperature and community notices, such as cyclone warnings.

"Paradise Signs has generously agreed to let the council use this sign in emergency events, free of charge,” said Gerard Carlyon, Development Services Director, Mackay Regional Council.

"This will give council another channel to distribute important information to the public in addition to the information that is circulated through council's Facebook page, website and media releases,” concluded Carlyon.
